Front Axle 39 ?

Yeah iv seen a lot of little differences in axles.
32’s have the most small differences for some reason.
I’m sure tooling would wear out and as long as the replacement tooling was dimensionally correct all was good.
 
Looked at the Green Bible and my axle doesn't seem to be pictured there.
Thought it was a passenger 39 but it's different. It also isn't the 42.
No pictures of the 40 or 41.
The bolts that connect the radius rods to the axle are not pictured.
Theses bolts are sort of straight with a long hole just on top of the axle and then a hole at the end or top of the bolt.
I will try to post some pictures this weekend.
Seems confusing ?
 
If there is no reason other than wanting to clean and paint the axle and wishbone, I would leave it together and just redo it as an assembly. No use making more work than you need (and perch bolt removal can be a lot more work as the other guys have stated).

All '37-'41 axles are pretty much look and function the same, the perch bolts themselves vary with the years and between cars and pick-ups.
 
Yes I will leave it together. Will need to remove the spring shackle bushings. Take the backing plates off and check the king pins.
Then clean and paint.
Still need to identify the perch bolts ?
