1963 Super Torque Ford - Sales Brochure
Is the vin stamped on the frame rail in front of the right side front body mount on 64s as it is on 57s?
I did look up some other '64 Galaxies and it seems that the location of the trim tag and orientation of the VIN tag changed to what what's shown in the pictures. This actually COULD actually be correct and authentic. I haven't accused anyone of anything but certainly when a single letter in a VIN code means up to a 100% price difference or tens of thousands of dollars, I'm always suspicious.
Frankly I'd rather have a car with an acknowledged engine swap to clone a more expensive option than pay really big bucks for one character in some flimsy pieces of metal.
This Custom 2-door Sedan R-code is by far the rarest of the 1964 (factory produced) 427/4spd cars, w/less than 15 built. 1964 R-code Galaxies – hundreds built. 1964 Galaxie “Lightweight” – 100 built.
* I am giving a very brief description here – “serious” buyers are encouraged to contact me directly for a full run down of this extremely rare car.

* She runs perfect – is always stored indoors – and of course turns heads everywhere she goes (nothing is more beautiful sounding than a solid lifter FE motor!)
* She is always the rarest car at every Car Show!
The factory shifter rows gears in the top loader 4-speed and Rally-Pac gauges (as more commonly seen on Mustangs) are a very nice addition. Interestingly, that big wheel is now backed with electric power steering (R-codes weren't offered with factory assistance). Additional auxiliary gauges are a smart addition.
... features racing graphics and a fiberglass high-rise hood with rear air intakes.
Makes me laugh when it’s an alternator or a starter with “matching numbers”
