There was another engine stand adaptor that the vendors had I haven't seen for sale for some time, was there a problem with them?, it was painted blue
The current mount looks much more rugged, if someone has either one they wish to dispose PM me.

One of these?

They were made by AC&R, which is now out of business.
You may check with Bert's he bought out most of the stock I believe

Pshhh...

If you want good and cheap, I got the solution.

I just had a piece of right angle stock, 10 gauge, and drilled 3/8 I believe holes 3 inches on center away from each other on one side. The oil pan bolts can be taken out from the bottom and threaded through the top and your holes.

Then you just need two holes drilled on the other side; mine were 1/2 and they are for the engine to mount to your stand. Everything just bolts up then using your cheap harbor fright equipment.

I got this one from Bert's: (It's made by Bill Stipe). Other vendors have them as well.

This is what Bert's sell online. A little different than the Blue one!

Carl, you beat me to it.

Great Idea!
Save the $100.00 for more important Model A Parts!

I have used the same setup that Ben has, except I spread the 2 top bars so that the middle main bolt can be accessed easier, even then it is a little bit of a hassle, the reason I posted was to make sure the blue bracket was safe to use.
Thanks all for your input.

I made this one and have posted it on here before.
It's capable of holding the engine and transmission.
Cost me about 10 bucks to make.
(see latest edition of Model A Times for instructions on making it)
