eBay / PayPal - Again

Agree with Ray With, I am in dispute right now as Pay Pal took $ out of my account without my permission. I have spoken to our local DA and that office said they numerous complaints that is under investigation.

I quit paypal for a number of reasons.First, their buyer protection turned out to be useless.I bought something, the seller did not send it,and told me he didn't have the money to pay me back.I contacted paypal, they recovered $56.for me.If they can recover it they will, but that is as far as it goes.On that I lucked out,my card company that I used took it from paypal.(GE Capitol Credit)They were not happy about that. Then I noticed a couple of charges to my bank account.$2,$3,not much. That was a couple of paypal employees who set up a scheme to bleed a little off the top. They were caught and everybody was paid back.I set up a new bank account and paypal was mad because I was not letting them near it this time. Then when I tried to buy a couple of things I found I had reached my sending limit.I didn't understand it at the time,it appeared that I had hit a limit I could send, period.I didn't know it had to be reset. At this point everything I did with them was through my credit card.I have one of theirs, but never use it.I have quit using ebay now altogether.I only look at it to find businesses that sell what I am looking for, then I track them down and call them.I have used Sachs-Dolmar chainsaws for over 25 years now,and buy parts from a dealer in Tennesee that has a huge stock. He has over 22000 sales of parts on ebay, and has given up now because of paypal. If you mention it to him on the phone he will be glad to tell you how much they robbed him for. Then on the other hand we have a handicapped woman in town that sells little trinkets and jewelry on ebay, paypal only.Over 15000 transactions without a problem from them, but huge problems from the postal service.

Pooch stated it correctly. You can call paypal and they will ask a few questions and then they will reset your limit like it was if thats what you want and then you are good to go. I had to do it a while back.
Now they want either your bank account # OR apply for their credit card (at 30%). No such thing as just re-setting your limit. When I expressed my displeasure at the choices, they just hung up on me.

Hey Carl. I would not give them any bank account info. either. I had to redo my limit about a year ago or maybe longer, so possibly things have changed. I have to say, that paying with paypal is easy and convenient, But they do seem to be making things harder and are charging more. I sure would like to see someone come up with a better idea and run ebay outa business. Things use to be so much easier.

Pay Pal is soooo sorry I called up n told them Hell would have to freeze up twice in same year if I were to EVER spend a penny there. ernie n tx

THANK you for posting this. I'm having issues w/ PayPal also.

Anytime somebody needs to link into your bank account, beware. That's just common sense.

Pay Pal is nothing more than a scam owned out right by Ebag and as stated above can and will wreck your account. No you cant buy any thing on Ebag without going through Pay pay. They will allow you to buy with your credit card but have a $5000.00 total life time limit then its pay pal or you dont get it.I see something I want to bid on I contact the people and try to bid and pay that way and many will but some dont so they get to keep there items as far as I am concerned. Byers protection???? Thats a oxy moron statement. They protect '0"
