Door Glass

I have a 25 Tudor with wood doors. Does anyone know the factory procedure for installing the glass channels and glass. The channel brackets were bent at the top to help remove the glass but I am sure the factory did not install them this way. Also the original glass is 9/32" thick. With the aftermarket channels this looks like I am heading for problems. If I have replacement glass made what thickness should I use and should I retain the original dimensions or should I have the glass cut narrower on the vertical sides, If so how much.

Thanks Daren

If I was having new safety glass cut ( greatly recommended) I would size it to fit what you are able to provide for channels. Are the channels too wide or narrow?

My glass is over 1/4". I am sure I will have to replace it. The biggest question is how did they install the glass and channels originally without bending the channel brackets.

I don't know on a T but the model A glass replacement was an easy job after the frame was removed. The felt was placed on the glass edge and all inserted from the top.
