Hello
I am trying to understand the modification that the previous owner of my 1937 V8-60 have done to the ignition system but I need a little help. I understand that this system operate on 4V, but my resistor under the dash seems to be bypassed by a wire , and I have a seperate after marked Bosch coil wich I suspect is 6V. So what do we see on the top of the distributor on the attached Picture? The LT wire from the coil goes first to the longest "cylinder" of the top of the distributor. Then there is a a orange wire that takes it to the next "cylinder" that is a little smaller. Wich one is the resistor and wich one is the condenser?
Can anyone explain to me how the current flows from the coil to the breaker point in my system? I cannot see where the wire goes into the distributor, its a narrow place down there
Thanks
Knut Haakon
