My grandpa used to put antifreeze in little cups and the mice would die after drinking it.
that used to work till a few years ago when they made it non fatal to animals due to so many family pets drinking the bit that got on the floor from a leak.
Huh, I didn't know they did that. I just remember that from probably 8 years ago.
A five gallon bucket, with a tin can mounted on a wire "axle" across the top, is very effective, too. You put a small ramp made of a piece of wood trim up to the edge, fill the bucket about half full with water, and smear the can with peanut butter. The mouse will get out on the can to eat, it will spin and dump him in the water to drown, and be ready for the next victim.

I would imagine he would have a HORRIBLE THIRSTI had a mouse problem a few weeks ago and got on the internet to see what was good. One solution I especially liked was to mix 50% corn starch and 50% cement. I can't imagine what a mouse does after eating that!

Thanks Don, I was able to find Fresh Cab at the local Tractor Supply and it was on sale for $11.95 for a box of 4 packets. May get some more for the shop floor and in the house garage. Boy it does have a fresh Mint smell.
ive heard spiders and rodents dont like peppermint oil, maybe make your own cab fresh using old nylon stockings, some saw dust/chips, and some peppermint oil...
