Clutch push rod offset

I have installed a 39-40 brake / clutch pedal assy. on a 37 ford. I am using the 37 trans. with the stock lever on the clutch cross shaft. The clutch pushrod from the pedal assy. to the lever is offset. Will going to a 39 clutch pushrod and cross shaft lever correct the offset problem? Thanks

You must first understand that '39 and '40 brake / clutch pedal assemblies are two entirely different animals, especially in the mechanics of how the clutch pedal mechanism pushes on the cross shaft lever. What is the prefix number found forged into your clutch pedal? Is it 91 or 01? DD

OH,
The '39 pedal setup is a stand alone. With the '39 pedals you are best to use the '39
arm. '40 thru '48 are closely related and feature the tang setup on the rel shaft.
The '39 arm is noticeably longer than the '37 arm.

The frames are the same width ,and the rod maybe shorter or longer.
I think someone is reproducing the 39 lever.
They are bent to lineup.
You could bend to align and try,
39 pedals don't have much throw so they have a shorter lever.

Here is a very badly done sketch with a 39 arm. These were traced. I really prefer the 40 set up for ease of set up and no chatter. Hope this gives an idea of what a 39 arm is like.

Here is a photo of the standard 37 arm and linkage and a 39 pedal assembly, it is off quite a bit and the 39 clutch shaft arm. Also shown with the 39 clutch arm installed Zeke
