APPLE GREEN for the Wheels

Try Rustoleum Gloss Protective Enamel in GLS Fern (250705). I had a Model A man in the area, who also paints cars, compare the color with the Model A Ford Paint Swatches. He said it was a match. When I tested the color with the inside of a rim...it matched! It may not be powder coating, but it is only about $4 a spray can at WalMart. Give it a try.

That's what I used on mine:) but than again I run white walls:eek: so what do I know:)

Why do some people get "anal" if another owner wants to put white wall tires on his own vehicle ?
So what, if it doesn't meet the current judging standards. Most "A" owners don't compete in National Judging, anyway.
MIKE :)

Come on Mike, if no one gets anal who would I make fun of:) BTW I use detergent motor oil:rolleyes:

I guess for the same reason some people get "Anal if another owner does not want to put white walls on his own vehicle.

Some like the look some don't. Some say they like the look some say they don't like the look. I don't see anything anal about it at all.

I have an unopened Quart can of Ditzler Acrylic Enamel # DAP - 44783 Apple Green 50.00 if you are interested. This is the correct color. It was used on my late 31 Tudor Sedan Deluxe. I can send pictures if needed. Jim T.

Here's a picture of my PU with green wheels. The jury is still out as to whether or not they will stay that way.

The color looks a little bright to me. JMHO.
That's the color the wheels were when I bought them, no idea if they are suppose to match anything or not. They actually look too bright to me as well, but then again pictures and screen monitors tend to play tricks. See Mark's picture above when compared to the same car in his avitar!

Maybe so Carl do they match the belt line stripe and the striping on the dash ?

I have no doubt about Mark's colors matching, I was only pointing out that pictures here and elsewhere on the internet are not really a true indication of what the actual colors are.

I'm pretty well convinced that my wheels are NOT the correct shade of green. And they do not match the pin striping elsewhere on my vehicle, especially since the wheels and pinstirpe were the color shown in my avitar when it was restored 20+ years ago. The green wheels were put on ther just 'cause that's where the better tires I had were already mounted on.

Hey Mark that is one fine looking automobile. Carl it is what it is and we love our autos what ever they are. Jim.T.

Carl I must say I love them wheels:D I would paint a lavender pin strip around the outside rim, I think it would sit the whole vehicle off:D
