A Ute from Australia or New Zealand. Maybe some owners amongst our friends from down under will have photos.

I think the "Utes" would have sold well here in Western Canada. We had to make our own. Sometimes out of an old station wagon.

Bobby, Ford Australia continued to use the flathead in 1954. These 54 Fords also retained the old Chassis. The USA 1954 Fords received a new Chassis that was a half inch longer Wheelbase. If you look closely at these Flathead powered 54 Fords, you can see that the front wheels are not exactly centralised in the wheel cut-out.

I have never known why different models were made in different countries. Did all of these different locations produce the different vehicles or were some of them produced in the USA but not made available?

Ford of Canada built the same models as the U.S. plus a few unique to Canada models like the Meteor and Monarch. And of course Mercury trucks.

Did Canada get the Ranchero & El Camino utes?

Yes you can see the Ranchero right up front in this 1957 Ford pickup ad I have from the Country Guide magazine. I never saw one in real life so don't think they sold many here anyway.
