Another Outstanding Vendor!

I ordered a cutout regulator for my 1930 Town Sedan from Fun Projects, and received it last Friday. When I tried to install it on my generator (a 1934 Ford generator), I was having trouble figuring out how to mount it to fit the curvature and hole spacing on the generator. I sent Fun Projects an e-mail with my questions late Friday evening, not expecting a response until Monday. I was surprised to receive a response from John Regan about a half hour later, requesting more information on my problem. He stated that he would be out of town for the weekend. I sent him more details, and was surprised to get a response late Saturday with information which enabled me to solve the problem by carefully bending the mounting feet.

John's prompt response, and his willingness to take time out from a busy weekend to help me, is an outstanding example of a vendor who is interested in his customers and takes extraordinary steps to make sure they are satisfied.

John & Renee, and their son John and his wife Angela are awesome folks indeed. Ironically, they have been stressing out with a computer hard-drive failure late last week during this time. Both Johns are fantastic engineers and great craftsmen too. I also use their products and truly value John's friendship.

Warning;;; I had one of their regulators and some guy was in my garage showing his friend how to polarize the generator which blew out the Fun regulator. No repair is available from them or incite in how to find the bad component . I now have a Tom Wesenberg unit which hides in the generator and seems to be bullet-proof.

Thanks for the warning. I am aware of the danger, and no one else works on my cars.

I have a Fun Projects regulator on my 6V T. I also called John about his pinion bearing kit for a model T> He took the time to be very helpful about which model to choose and some tech tips to install.Very nice guy.

My wife always laughs when she sees "fun projects" on the credit card bill.

I've run one of John's vr's on mine for over a year with sealed beams. No problems and great feedback from Fun Projects if needed.

I've used both the 6 volt and 12 volt Fun projects voltage regulators with great results. I am running the 12 volt regulator on the stock generator of our 30-31 roadster and love it. Installation couldn't be any easier and requires NO mods to the generator. These regulators can be had in six, eight or twelve volt, Ford scripot or plain, positive or negative ground.

i purchased a 6v script FP about 2 years ago and returned it because the casing was full of pits and divots. called them and was told they were all like that so it cost me shipping back out of pocket.

I think that the Fun Projects regulator can be sent back for repairs for arround twenty dollars. I've used mine for years with no problem . I doubt that any voltage regulator is idiot proof!!! The guy that ruined it had some nerve and should pay for repair or replacement.

Guaranteed no parts store will honor a return. Your buddy is the reason they all have it posted at point of sale, a very lame excuse indeed!
