Air Pressure Gone Missing - Cause?

Remember you must exchange the winter air in your tubes for summer air each spring and replace the summer air with winter air each fall.

If it's porous rubber in the tube, putting it in soapy water will do little good. To inflate a tube out of the tire takes only a couple of pounds or so, whereas in the tire you pump it up to 35# or so. The higher pressure will force air through the pores, unlike the 2 or 3 # used to test the tube out of the tire.
Nitrogen is a scam! As fast as you're losing air out of a defective tube, you won't see a difference with nitrogen. The molecules aren't that much bigger! I don't recall the exact numbers, but it's something like: if a good tire loses 2-3 lbs. a month, with nitrogen you only lose 1-2 lbs.

Ponder this when you go to bed: With all the developments in tires & tubes, our safety depends on that little tiny valve core also the 2 cotter keys in the front wheel bearing nuts!!
