7 Wire Indicators both sides flash.

Hi All Help needed , Just hooked up 7 wire indicators to my 36 , 6 volt system. Park lights and stop lights both flashed when turn signal activated. Park and tail lights feed loops across so not sure how to isolate the indicator feed to each side. I disconnected the feed from the steering wheel to the park lights , as this is never used and the indicators front work fine. Any ideas how to hook stop lights , isolate indicator feed to each side ? Am thinking just to add some separate indicators on rear bumper but cant find any that look okay? Help appreciated.

Originally, there was a single wire from the brake light switch to the rear lights. Have you added a second brake light wire to the rear to separate the left light from the right?

Thanks Zeke No there is only one wire from the brake light switch to the rear right tailight then loops across to the left. Do I need to run a separate wire from the switch to the left tail light then cut the loop wire ?

Yes, and the wiring instructions should indicate which color from the turn signal goes to which rear brake light. I think you have already hooked the one for the left turn signal to the original brake light wire. I suspect you have one wire left over coming out of the turn signal switch. There is a splitter under the left rear of the car that carries that brake light voltage across under the back to the right brake light. Disconnect the wire from the right brake light at that split and connect that to the new wire you are going to run from the turn signal right rear brake wire all the way back to where that split is located, and connect it to the wire going to the right brake light.

I presume you have already run the new wire that is needed from the brake light switch up to the turn signal.

Thanks drolston , Yes all wires run from the indicator switch , to both rear tail lights , and from brake switch to indicator switch. It looks like I just need to run another wire from the brake light switch to the other tail light ? and disconnect loop at rear. The other points is with the brake lights not very bright and small especially in the day time what are your thoughts on putting separate indicators and leaving the tail lights out of the equation . Or is there a better alternative in LED bulbs or higher wattage bulb in tailights ? Sorry first time playing with this stuff :)

Go to LEDLight.com and order led white bulbs for 6 volt. They will be bright enough. I got
1129 6V 30 SMD color white 6000k and 63 LED 6-7 volt BA15S 2 each. I forget which one is for taillight and parking light. They can help you

Here is the wiring diagram I have for signal light installation. Not familiar with wiring on a '36, but this is what I have on my '46 Coupe. If you are considering LED lights, you will need a flasher unit that is compatible with LEDs.
Dim lights are generally caused by poor grounding or corroded connectors. Use a volt/ohm meter to check for checking for voltage loss at the tail lights. Painting the "light bucket" gloss white helps, as per dean333's suggestion.

Ditto on: 1) check good ground at brake light housing, 2) replace with LED bulbs, 3) paint inside of housing white
To clarify my suggestions, assuming you have a turn signal unit like 51Woodie:
- Two new wires run from turn signal to the brake pressure switch; the#5 red goes to the side of the brake switch that is not the hot 6 volt lead. That is, the side that goes hot only when the switch closes with brake pressure.

- Second wire comes from #3 Orange and connects to the wire you disconnected from the pressure switch. That wire runs to the left rear for both brake lights.

- That wire has a split at the left rear for a wire that runs across to the right rear brake light. Disconnect the wire that goes to the right side, leaving the #3 Orange to power only the left side brake light.
- Run a new wire all the way from the #1 Brown back to the spit at the left rear and connect it to the wire you disconnected from the split. Now #1 Brown powers only the right brake light.

- Within the turn signal when you hit the brakes it will power both #3 Orange and #1 Brown, but when you activate the turn signal, that side will get power through the flasher.
- Speaking of the flasher; yes, it should be one that will work with LED bulbs. There is a guy that makes a flasher that includes a loud beeper. Handy for a turn signal that does not self cancel. Not sure his flasher will work on 6 volts.

My 33 on the left before LED and white paint, already done 33 on the right.

As dean333 posted, I couldn't hear the flasher, so I found a buzzer that works on 6V.
I connected the black wire to the P terminal of the flasher, and the red lead to round.
