6 Volt LED Flasher

I have a wiring diagram for a normal 3 pin thermal flasher for my turn signals but want to use LED's rather than bulbs. The Victor Auto Flasher EF32 mentioned below is a two pin flasher. How is this wired to the turn signal and what happens to the wire that normally goes to the third pin?

Victor EF33 is a 3 pin electronic flasher.

Just don't use the "P" it's the indicator light or give a 3-Pin CF-13 Electronic Flasher a try.

This is subject talked about quite often with many different opinions.

The EF33 doesn't work on 6v. The new EF33W might work, its specs claim 6.75-12v. I haven't tried this one. I still use a 535 thermal flasher because its the only one that really works of all the other flashers I've tried with rear LEDs on 6v while adding higher CP bulbs in the front.

Found this 6 volt LED flasher on Amazon. Looks like it's built similar to Tom's homemade flasher using a relay.

I have been using a very nice directional signal unit for more than 5 years in my Model A and Studebaker truck. It works on 6volt or 12volt systems using positive or negative ground. It operates 6 or 12 volt LED lamps used as directional signals. The control unit is very compact, easy to wire, and complete. I have it Velcro mounted behind the drivers side kick panel in my coupe. I have my cowl, brake, and 3rd brake lights connected to this unit. All the lamps are 6volt LED's. A momentary switch is mounted behind the dash panel and is used as the directional switch. The control has an adjustable timer which is used to control the on-time of the directional signal. The turn signal stays on as long as the brake pedal is engaged. There is a mode for emergency flashing also. You do not have buy anything extra to make this unit work. The flashing unit is solid state and sized for low wattage lamps such as LED's.
This is a US made unit and available through Electro-Tech Products. The price is approx. $125. Their link is http://www.turnswitch.com/Turnsignal.htm

Badpuppy, thanks. I found out this is an electronic flasher not a relay flasher and collect polarity is very important.

It appears there is now a 6v electronic flasher [ from England] that is supposed work with pos ground systems. Can't remember all the info. I still use a thermal flasher with the LEDs.
