My 55 F-100 has the 223 6 cyl with a 1 barrel carb that has a clear plastic cover on the front where you can see the fuel. The truck has been runing great until this evening. Fired it up and after 3-4 minutes, it died.
After several attempts to restart, it fired-up and did the same thing again. Previous to this, all I did was change out the temp sending unit now this! What's going on here?
As I was watching the carb on the second run, the gas completely filled the plastic bowl; is that normal or should the bowl be only halg full? I'm not familiar with these type of Holleys.
I checked the plugs and they were fouled so a new set will be installed tomorrow. Any clues to what could be causing this? Usually I always think about the last job done prior but do not see any correlation with a temp sending unit and the truck not maintaining idle. Thanks.
