39 pickup wheel color ?

Tinker, I'm not at all sure of what you are saying here, but it goes without question that opinion is not helpful here.
 
If you have a need I have a perfect pair of lower front sheet metal pieces that surround the grill, hard to find ,sell reasonable

So no one has actually submitted any solid info that is not speculative or opinion.

Every wheel (rim) I've seen is black. Every hubcap I've seen is black. Some are repainted.


But to say they were not black without real evidence is just opinion. Which I agree is unhelpful

When I was restoring hubcaps for my 1936 pickup, I drilled my small hole in the back side to be able to use air pressure to pop the stainless cover off. While several that I did were black paint under the stainless, several others were production body colors. So, there is "evidence" that hubcaps in 1936 were painted in body colors.

This makes me think of folks that say "I probably shouldn't say this, but..."
Okay, if a person readily admits they probably shouldn't say 'this", then shut up before "it" is spoken.
 
Still... no real info outside opinion, no documentation or at least pictures submitted by either of you.


I truly respect both of you. But what I'm getting is, it's true because you say it is. This was a question by me, a unqualified guy. You are qualified, so it should be easy to prove otherwise other then, because I said so. No need for personal attacks, less that is all you have.

Tinker, you demand proof from two of the most qualified and knowledgeable V8ers on the Barn. For one who asks questions of experts followed by doubt of answers given, perhaps you have better information than those you ask?
 
Alan, i think you assume I have information, I didn't claim to know. I am only asking conformation of what I'm asking or my perspective from those that are. Maybe there is none. You might say I'm demanding information or maybe you are demanding to agree otherwise. I'm okay with that.


I agree they are very knowledge and probably they only people on this planet to ask these questions.


It probably doesn't matter either I guess.
