Hmmmm. So i could go either way.
SO, Mike....as a judge at a National meet......how would one determine IF the $5 up charge was paid for painted wheels (or not) IE point deduct or NOT??Is this a proper restoration that you plan on having judged?
An original invoice would be nice to have, but not required on the Concourse. All that would be needed is to be provable that it was Ford authorized.SO, Mike....as a judge at a National meet......how would one determine IF the $5 up charge was paid for painted wheels (or not) IE point deduct or NOT??
Right......BUT the 'inference" I take from Kube's question IS that without that "deadwood" proof of an original invoice the "possibility of being points deducted exist?? SO I was curious IF it "was" a possibility for the wheels to be painted (for a $5 up charge) THEN why the question of "IS it going to be point judged?" AS for most, I would imagine finding the original invoice would prove to be a gargantuan IF not impossible task!!! SO my curiosity is wondering WHY?An original invoice would be nice to have, but not required on the Concourse. All that would be needed is to be provable that it was Ford authorized.
No SIr, NO pot stirring.......having had a couple of cars judged at EFV8 club events, I learn more and more each time about the logic of the clubs judging standards. I'm, in no way, a 38-40 expert like Kube is.......Don Rodgers was the last judge to educate me, and rightfully so, and I am curious as to the logic of the judging and or need for proof of such question of the OP and the extent of documentation that may or may not be needed?Wow. Looks like my question really stirred the pot. Guess i can go either way on color.

Mike,
I agree. One would hope that the judges always know at least as much, if not more than the car owner, but sadly that is not always the case.
