36 5 window trunk back

Great thread; sure like to thank everybody that has posted for the info; learned a lot.

While we are thinking about trunk stuff; I would like to raise a question I had earlier.

The '35-'36 book states that there is a weather strip in the body channel and another in the lid.

I was kinda hoping the pictures in posts 2, 3, and 7 would help; but there does not appear to be any weatherstrip on the body side.

Anyway, my question is how the body side weatherstrip is handled around the drain holes?

Rich,

The weatherstripping I removed from the body around the trunk was laid completely over the drain holes. As a matter of fact, I didn't realize there were drains there until I removed the weather stripping. I had not stripped the interior at that point, so the rear trunk board was still in place hiding the drain tubes. Hope this helps answer your question.

Thank you and all who posted ,this and example of the Ford Barn at its best ,Maybe if Don does a post script to the 35 36 book you could add this ,

If you need something more detailed, just let me know. I promised I would try and snap some photos over the weekend; wanted to keep my commitment. Time in the garage has been hard to come by lately. I can get some more detailed measurements; just wanted to get some info out there to show how it’s attached.

Let me know what you need.

Hopefully a final update on the parts for the partition board. I checked an original board and found out that the flat washers should be 1-1/2" outside diameter instead of 1-1/4" as I first reported.

So my floor wood "stabilizers" are replaced with the original angle wood spacers and a I assume a replacement metal bar. These are all wood right? It's two short pieces in the truck and 2 longer pieces mid car under the car and bolted through the floor.
