34 Cabriolet; how was it in 1934?

The thumb screws to hold the top down are not correctly reproduced, anywhere. The closest screw is the flat bent plate style like in Mac's catalog 32-26556-1 for the roadster and phaeton with the 5/16 thread. They have a skirt and it can be machined flat & re-plated so the screws appear correct. The length of the threads may have to be reduced also.

HI Guys,

I don;t know where the Cabriolet is but he says it is on the other side of the world. I am in New Zealand with a similar basket case 33's. On the off chance information needs to be shared or parts borrowed and he is close let me know. Cheers from down under Pat

Hope I can get my car looking like that in future, good driver right now, keep us up to speed on progress and your location, looking for photos,

Greetings from Finland - literally a world away from other '34 Cabriolets ;)

The Phaeton/Roadster wing nuts fit although they need to be shortened. No big fuss and they do the job.

The car's now finished and although I know that some of you will be raising eyebrows after seeing its pic this is us admiring the North Sea at Harwich, UK earlier this month. Her maiden voyage took us to the UK, and she turned out to be a great driver and very reliable car and what's most important is that we now have one more '34 on the road again - I'm well happy!
