32 Ford V8 Motor Mounts

Is this a 32 Ford V8 Motor Mount? Reason I ask is I have an original 32 chassis that I'm putting a 8BA motor in and when I hold the mount up to the front of the block, the horizontal leg with the oval hole comes no where near mounting the biscuit to the front crossmember...It falls way short.

Original K-member is still rivited in. Using 32 unsplit wishbone. Front crossmember is bolted into original rivited holes in frame. Everything lines up so no questions there.

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

What you have pictured is a 40-6031-AR . It is a 33 only left . The first 32 type is # 18-6031-A and the last type is # 18-6031-B . The normal 33-34 type is # 40-6031-B . This info is from a 1934 parts book .

I've got the right also as I bought a pair. If anyone has the V8 motor mounts for a 32 Ford, let me know as that is what I need. Thanks!

I have a set of front '32 engine mounts that I could post pictures of here so you could see what they look like. I plan to use them to put an early 21 stud FH V8 in a '32 1-1/2 T truck. You could advertise in the swap/wanted section here for a set of these mounts. There are also repops of these mounts available. I think Dick Spadaro sells them.

John - if you could post pics that would be great. Have already posted in the Want Ads too. Thanks!

The mounts you need could easily be fabricated if you have a welder, etc.

I think the business called Only 32 or Strictly 32 is making exact reproductions of the 32 mts.

The company you are referring to is MEC (Model Engineering Company), (330) 644-3450, "modelengineeringco.com". You are just quoting a phrase from their advertising. I also used to think it was the name of their company. I haven't seen the mounts but they look good in their photos.

Remember that you will need to cut up the stock mounts to clear the fan belt.

The cut you see is usually a huge notch from a grinding wheel, but it can be much more subtle with care. Minimim notch slants up the inside of the top and can end just a bit into the forging line...requires carefull fitting to an engine with the pump belt assembled.
