I am familiar with the differences between 351 Windsor and 351 Cleveland, there is a 351 W in my 56, but I didn't know there were different 302s, Windsor vs Cleveland.
From what I've read you're correct. The Boss 302 was a modified Windsor 302 block with the bigger/better Cleveland style heads. And the 'Clevelands' are a bigger different series of engines. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_335_engineThere is actually no such thing as a 302 Cleveland. The Boss 302 uses a regular style 302 block (small block) but uses the Cleveland style heads with canted valves and larger valve covers.
