Anyone know of a source or a way to make a voltmeter that matches the other original gauges on a 1947 Merc that has a 12V conversion?

The wiring schematic I have shows that '47 Merc. uses an Induction (wire thru loop) ammeter, not a volt meter.
If that is what you have then the original gauge can be used on 12 volts just by reversing the direction that the wire goes thru the loop on the back of it.
A WORD OF CAUTION, IF THE ORIGINAL WIRE IS STILL IN PLACE, IT SHOULD BE REPLACED WITH WELL INSULATED PROPER GAGE NEW WIRE, AS THE OLD WIRE IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CRACKING THAT COULD CAUSE A SHORT AND POSSIBLE FIRE.

What "51-Merc" said is probably the best way to go and will work just fine (unless you have loaded the car up with electronics and a 100 amp alternator). If you really want to change to a voltmeter that matches your existing gauges, the short answer is "NO" I suppose you could have one custom built for a ton of money. The fact that your car is a Mercury makes things even tougher.
