1928 closed cab back panel- repair or replace?

I'm working on a 28/29 cab and the two back panels are dented, warped, and rusted thru where they attach. I've seen some very nice pu's with awful looking, wavy back panels. I'm sure I would have as much or more $$ in repairing them as picking up a new set at Bratton's or other supplier. I want a nice look and $500 doesn't go far in the autobody shop these days. Those of you that have been there before, what do you say? This will not be a points pickup.

I replaced the lower panel years ago when I restored my '28 CCPU. I worked with a dented and rusted upper panel...I wish I had replaced the upper also as I see the waves in it when the light hits it just so. You asked for opinions and I think you will get varied replies. Enjoy the restoration...

Id go with replacing it .So hard to straighten these panels and you are right 500 dollars doesn't go far in the body shop

I did new sheet metal on my closed cab about 20 years ago. They still needed significant work, about a quarter inch off in width or height, I do not remember. They have some waviness still. In retrospect, I would have fixed the originals, if doing it again.
