1928 A, No Spark

Good afternoon...You might wish to open up the carburetor and carefully remove the high speed jet and clean it out and also the area that feeds it with compressed air...a bottle of air for cleaning a computer key board works nicely if you don't have a big compressor. While you are at it, check the float level...if set wrong the float bowl will not have enough gas for the engine to run much above idle...a little holly water on the radiator cap can't hurt. Tired a few of the options. Thinking my issues are lying in the carb.
Left lever has to be fully down to idle perfectly.
She seems to run best on 2 full turns on the "GAV knob" aka in my mind the gas knob.
Still won't go half throttle or above.
Going to try to re clean the carb on Sunday.
Sadly moving for work on Tuesday and won't be back till November but, hoping to get her road worthy again before that. And repeat the process come November

Sounds now like the timing is retarded.
Lever full up, very slow 'Model A' idle
Mid way, idle speed picks up and idle should be good
Full down, engine speed should start to roll

Also sounds like carburetor may need cleaning again. Make sure passage ways are clean. Do not remove/drill out plugs. Use Deep Creep spray, torch tip cleaners/paper clip, compressed air.
