Thank you both for the quick replies! JM 35 Sedan, I appreciate your willingness to help, and I just may take you up on that if something doesn't turn up- JSeery, thank you, and I will go there and take a look to see if there's something there I can glean from-I was wondering why the darn thing...

1935 Ford 5w Coupe Header question

Thank you for you thoughts and pictures!! It's hard to tell from the Photos, but are the strips flat? Or angle? I don't know where to get them (I can't find where anyone has sold them, and don't know of any Cars near me that do), but I wonder if I could just make them? They appear to be made of...

1935 Ford 5w Coupe Header question

Good afternoon everyone, I am in the final stages of my '35 build, and I purchased a Header Panel off of ebay to fit it-after getting it metal finished to my liking, I tried to fit it, only to realize that I was definitely doing something wrong-:( So, I came here and found an excellent thread...

    Stainless steel brake lines

If you are willing to make the investment, Stainless lines can be relatively easy- Buy annealed Stainless line, and either buy the Eastwood Flaring Tool or the Mastercool unit: http://www.mastercool.com/product/71475/ I have the Mastercool unit, and it works very, very well- Buy a good Bender...

'35 Ford Door Glass Bumpers (Anti-Rattle)

Thank you very much for your input-so, on the '36 that you did, the Fuzzy's took care of the possibility of rattling then? (Sorry, I'm a little slow :) )- You know, I wasn't aware (and hadn't looked) at my rear Window Moulding (it is a roll up)-that is some great information!

'35 Ford Door Glass Bumpers (Anti-Rattle)

Good Morning! In my quest to build my '35 Coupe, I had to purchase Garnish Moldings as it did not come with them-as they can be hard to find, I ended buying them from different sources, and, while refinishing them I noticed that some have small rectangular holes in them, and some do not- After...

how to keep fenders form re-cracking on a 36 pickup

Do you, by chance, have a Bead Roller? With a tipping wheel on a Bead roller you could easily create the Panels you posted-otherwise, I would make them with a wooden buck-

    Understanding body work

Frank has given some great advise here, and I'll add my two cents-sounds like you are going to have some Dents to deal with. I'm not sure how anal you are willing to go with your Dents-some guys are ok with getting it close and using Bondo, others want to Metalfinish (or close to it). If you...

    Paint type sequence

Isn't it great that there are so many different ways to Paint a Car that will ultimately satisfy the end-user? And, there are many ways to disagree respectfully on the Internet. I will absolutely believe in SPI and Barry Kives, they haven't steered me wrong yet-you might consider trying some of...

    Paint type sequence

Brent, This fact was bestowed upon me by the owner of SPI, so no, I do not know the Chemical reasons for it. I have seen where it can show up in the appearance of scratches under the the Paint where there were none before. My feeble mind would tend to believe that the cheaper brands of 2K...

    1935 Ford Radiator/Inner Fender Mounting

Thanks you to everyone who has replied here, and I learn something new every day. It's so nice to have such a well of information to draw from. Truthfully, I am not certain that it is a '35 Frame (I know, I should have checked the Frame numbers! :D), but it really just hasn't been an issue up to...

    Paint type sequence

I am a big SPI user, and think it's absolutely the best. On my build, I am using Epoxy only, no 2K-why? 2K can shrink while Epoxy doesn't. I would not worry about Epoxy either as a Primer, substitute for 2K or Sealer-it does all of the above-

    1935 Ford Radiator/Inner Fender Mounting

Bob, Yup, that's the hole I used! I think it tilts back a little more than yours (i'm not at Home right now, I work out of State). I'm wondering if maybe the Radiator Support Rods are too short? I think what I will do is to install the Hood Mounting Tabs, and I have a new Center Stainless...

    1935 Ford Radiator/Inner Fender Mounting

Bob, Thank you very much for the picture (as they say, it's worth a thousand words), and you have validated my suspicions-my Hood hold-down brackets are a little different, my Radiator is defintely leaning towards the back, but I get it-would there be any chance that you might have a picture...
