I have a 1935 ford with a black lacquer paint job from the 60's. I have rubbed out all the oxidation but I am not sure what to use to seal it so it doesn't oxidize again soon.

Thanks, it is a constant rubbing scraping type sound, like something is dragging in the torque tube not in the differential gears I think.

I bought a 1935 5 window and some of the VIN numbers not legible because of rust and someone sanding the frame many years ago to repaint it. Where can I buy exact replica numbers to punch them back in and on a 35 did they use a "1" or an "I". The visible numbers match the title so I know it is...

So maybe the nickel plating has worn off and someone decided to just polish the brass instead of re-plating. Good to know that they did make a brass dash panels from the factory.

Does anyone know if a brass plated dash panel was ever offered as an option from the factory, or is the one I have just someone wanted the brass look on a Model A roadster?
