    Float A motor and noise

I had stock mounts for 30 years then put in floating rear but left front stock, can't say there was a hill of beans difference in the two. Floats big advantage seems to be it's easier to pull engine and replace.

    Head gasket again

For Thomas Head from Snyders part number is B-6051-C it has 573 stamped on it, I had tried copper first, spoke to them and they recommended this one as it was thinner and would not require many re-torques. Note I had leak up head bolt between 1 and 2 when I pulled head there was nothing wrong...

new engine runs too rich HELP!!

Y is correct I used wrong term the 94's use vacuum actuated power valve that needs to be blocked/changed to keep it from opening too soon. It's not rocket science, but it can be a pain in the *** to get set up so the setup works right. 97's have a mechanically actuated PV that opens when the...

new engine runs too rich HELP!!

94's use vacuum secondary's which look for low vacuum to indicate you are doing 30 and want to be doing 70 which is where the problem lies. Model A's are a low vacuum motor. Have people run 94's on them absolutely some block the secondary completely and choke down jets so she runs right but then...

Run a Jumper cable from positive side of battery to the body of the distributor once you do this it will either start or you can cross off "bad ground" off the list. More than one person has said "How could the engine block not be grounded?"

    Preheating of the engine

Like to welcome all the Siberian Russians to the forum. (drain everything preheat... I'm still laughing) I drive in winter, "A"s hate the cold and will run like crap for 5 minutes, after 5 minutes start driving, enjoy calculating the viscosity of 600 weight gear oil at minus 20 degrees. Expect...
