Is yours in a 35 or later Body? Other than the plate, what other mods did you have to do to get the box in ? Thanks!

    Stiff 35 Ford steering

I have a 35 Ford with about 66K. It has a 49 Merc in it. The steering is pretty stiff and an issue for me since I had my shoulder replaced. I've read several things but would like for some others to chime in and/or reflect. One said replace fluid with STP ? Another said to replace with a 37...

    35 in the mist

1st , this picture is possible because of some of the assistance I received from folks on this forum over the last year. I'm able to drive it (and stop!). I go to a gym every morning and there was a nice mist. Saw an opportunity and popped this shot. Enjoy and thanks for the help.

    35 Ford lock disassembly

So nice when it is simple. A screw was in there holding the old one in. I unscrewed it and pulled old one and installed new one. Square rod was a little longer but I won't bore you with "how do I make it shorter " thread ;-). It is so nice when it is simple (which isn't too often in my life!)...

    35 Ford lock disassembly

I managed to find a NOS lock and key for my 35 Ford. I tried to pull handle out after removing the two outer screws so I could start disassembling the assembly and get access to to door lock barrel. The handle would only go so far out 1/8" and then stop. I gave i ta few taps with a hammer...

    35 Ford Brake problems

Saga is over! I found a set of late model brake drums. One was NOS! Turned them and installed new bearings. Knocked old weights off of drums. Drives OK but I'm now trying to find some one who can dynamically balance wheels. Thanks for all of the assistance I received.

    35 Ford Brake problems

Most definitely. Bearings have only gotten worse. I pull down new trailers to check to see if they have Russian bearings.

    35 Ford Brake problems

I should have taken a picture of the Mexico label on the bearings in there now. Oh well ,Fords are made there now anyway ? Many years ago i was spinning a bearing with an air gun and the shop owner explained what was getting ready to happen........

    35 Ford Brake problems

As I see it then, an option is to install something like some Speedway early Ford hubs along with early style drum ? Or find 46-48 drums, clean up, change bearing and install. Thanks for hanging in there with me guys.
