That’s the thing. I know it is a support for the starter but linking the body of the starter over to the block will also offer a better earth path for the spark plugs and distributor as my only engine earth is that from the starter over to the frame. I’ll order one.

Where does the earth strap usually attach? I have mine from one of the starter bolts to the chassis, but I could do with the little steel strap that goes from the other starter bolt to an oil pan bolt. I lost that bit ☹️

Hi All, Could someone tell me the UNF thread in the inlet manifold for the banjo bolt that connects the distributor vacuum pipe to the manifold please. It’s bigger than 1/4” if I recall. I am away from the engine and want to buy an adaptor to fit a vacuum gauge for testing.

I fixed the off idle stumble, super simple, the idle was too lean. I went back to basics and set up the idle fuel to the highest rpm then brought to back to 700-800 with the throttle screw and now it runs great with gentle opening of the throttle.
