The Standard Hardware book lists 1/4-20 x3/4 hex head bolts. However in the Victoria Book there to a photo of an original Victoria with 1/4 -20 round head screws. I used the screws to attach to the body and the bolts to attach to the fenders. Hope that helps

    Rebuilt Motor stuck

I once got a rebuilt engine back from a reputable rebuilder who either forgot to install all bearing shims or one fell out while installing them. Needless to say it was impossible to turn the engine over by hand. Sure was glad I checked before using the starter.

What is this "A of the Day"?

No, its not my cup of tea either. Why criticize though, the owner must be proud of his car or he wouldn't have sent it in to MAFCA. Yes they are struggling to get pictures of our A's. This is an outlet to show off our cars to others. We need to sent in our pictures. Most of us are savvy enough...

How to bench test a distributor

Your post was well received by me. I have played with electrical and eletronics since I was 9 yrs old. The first item I built was a crystal radio back in 1957. I am in the planning stages of building a test stand similar to yours. I'm not doing this just to test the various ignition parts. I get...

    Emergency Brakes Binding

Ethan I wouldn't reduce the lining thickness. The bending of the tabs might help as they might be expanding the bands. My linings are the same thickness as yours and fit perfect.

    Emergency Brakes Binding

Ethan I just measured the brake lining and band on mine and it's just the same as yours 0.300 My emerg. brake carrier measures exactly 9 inches in diameter. I think it was Bratton's who stopped selling the carriers for now because they found that the repop's were to big. Maybe that is what you...
