    6volt battery charging

Definitely use a smart charger/tender if it’s going to sit. I have both Noco and Battery Tender brands, all work as advertised. Amazon had a sale on the 4 bank Noco, only thing is it doesn’t do 6V agm.

    Borg Warner Overdrive

Great transmissions, even better if you have the full synchronized Saginaw. Still run them, have for years. http://https://www.studebaker-info.org/Tech/Transmission/BW-OD/BorgWarner.html

    40 ford headlight alignment screws

Post a picture as I can’t remember exactly what they look like where it screws in. Several different options if you’re willing to adapt or modify. If it has an insert you can replace it to run the more common larger bolt or cut and tig weld a regular screw to the head of an adjuster, worst case...

    Prices are certainly down

Yes there are quite a few younger kids around here, I see them at shows and swap meets. These cars definitely hit their peak and are on the down slide........so be it. The cars and parts go back into hiding, it's happened before. The big thing is they will be more attainable again. Also the true...

    1949-51 V8 car air cleaner

Does anyone have an overall length for the rod to tighten the clamp.

    1949-51 V8 car air cleaner

A little welding and it'll be ok. I just wanted to know if that piece is a friction fit as I don't see any indication of welding. I'll look for another donor piece and clamp or I'll make my own if need be.

    1949-51 V8 car air cleaner

Does the slotted part that the clamp goes around come off?. I bought a air cleaner and it has the smaller center inside but the clamp and the other slotted part that goes around the carb is missing and it doesn't look like it's been cutoff.

    Jim Beam bottles

I have a few from my grandparents in storage at my moms. I remember them on the bar top when I was a kid and I do believe one is an A roadster.

13th Annual So-Cal Early Ford V-8 Club Inter-Regional Swap Meet

You missed a good swap. This one will be less then a 1/4 of that size, maybe the size of the one in San Bernardino.

Is this the end of Swap Meets?

I haven't been going that long, but I have been going since it was at the Los Alamitos parking lot. There are still lots of small club swaps around here (plus Turlock) and a little more north (I did go to Orcutt once). I think in the higher priced areas it's getting harder to find a spot to hold...

    1951 Wagon o/d solenoid question

I have a '51 wagon that's going to 12v. I haven't had time to check out the size of the solenoid....but I do remember it was close to the floor. Does the wagons have a special shorter solenoid for the o/d unit or can I use any 12v solenoid.

    Third Brake light

Maybe something like these to start out with: https://www.superbrightleds.com/vehicle-lights/led-accent-lighting/led-wired-bolts https://www.oznium.com/led-bolts-prewired-leds/led-bolt

    Third Brake light

I like this set up IF I was forced to use led lighting. The only thing I would do different is to make it a dedicated brake light only. Lets face it, if the other persons face is in their phone then they're not going to see any thing anyhow.....even new cars with the whole rear covered in...

    1953 fuel gauge

If you want to use the aftermarket gauge that’s in it now you need to find the ohm range for that particular gauge (start with their website). Then find a universal sending unit that will bolt into the tank hole and then you have to adjust the sending unit to match the tank (sending unit will...

    1951 fuel sender

Thanks everyone. I’ve found different tanks for sale with the original senders for sale (mostly trucks), I figure if I get a clean one I can make the sending unit work and resell the tank. I can look into the Shoebox Central one also and use the original as a spare at the very least.
