My Sep 25 1928 Briggs 60A has the wood piece behind the dash.

First licensed in 1958, KN6CEX, was only on CW. Current license is KE6SN, however have not been on the air for years. Have a few early Hallicrafters 30's, 40's and 50's. Always thought when I get old I would get back on the air.

Got mine yesterday. Glad to see a lot of my questions answered.

You said you are using the original springs and brackets that you removed from the car and the brackets are 3/4" high as opposed to 5/8". I’m not sure about the ¾” bars. My vender parts catalogs (Bratton’s, Snyder’s, etc.) say the rear spring clip bars for the 10 leaf springs are 5/8”. I wonder...

My Aug ’28 roadster that originally came with a rumble seat has what I believe are the original wood slats and the dimensions are 28 x 1-1/4 x 1/4.
