    40 Convertible Seat Underfloor Brackets

Does anyone sell the brackets to mount the seat to the floor? Joe's Antique Auto Parts doesn't show it on his website. Any other vendors that carry this? I tried to post a picture from Drake's website showing the underside of his complete floor pan, but, no go.

An addition to GB's fleet on the Island?

$10,000-12,000 ought to be about right. Plenty cool.

    40 Convertible Floor Replacement

Thanks for the input. I believe I’ll fix the holes, maybe try to “all metal” over the top of the pock marks and paint the floor. I still think the trunk floor will need to be replaced, it’s pretty thin sheet metal now and you can see the rivets.

    40 Convertible Floor Replacement

There are three holes in the driver’s side. Passenger side is intact but it looks like the floors sat “wet” for some period of time. The area under the back seat is in good shape. The trunk floor has been replaced with a riveted piece of sheet metal and that also needs to be replaced. I had...

    40 Convertible Floor Replacement

Any words of wisdom before I hack my floor? The drivers side "should be" replaced, the passenger side is in good shape. Replace the whole thing with Drake's one piece floor or buy the panels individually? Any special reinforcing to do before cutting the old floor out?

3 questions for '40 Ford Convertable

I had my blower motor, 2 way, reversible, rebuilt here in Washington. The guy can rebuild anything. He rebuilt the switch too. I gave him the new harness to connect them. About $100 if I remember. Send me a message and I’ll send you his phone number.

    1952 F-6 Cab & Chassis

The truck was brand new in 1952 and is shown with a white grille in the lower picture. It is sitting in the driveway of our new home which we moved into in 1952. The picture with the driver, Jack Williams, must have been about 1957, the year he graduated from Everett High School, maybe 1958...

    No fire

I assume you have the remote coil like my car had when I bought it. The wire from the ignition went to the negative side of the remote coil. The positive wire from the coil went to the distributor as shown in the picture. I replaced the coil setup with a Skip Haney coil and went back to the...

What did you do today that was flathead V8 related?

I just lowered the sales price to $32,500 on my 40 convertible. It is posted on the Early Ford V8 website classifieds. Anyone interested? All steel, it may become a street rod unless someone wants it.

    1952 F-6 Cab & Chassis

Here is the original Bill of Sale and three pictures of how the cab & chassis was used. I ran across these pictures in my Dad's old stuff. The driver was about 18 YO in the one picture and just recently passed away.

what's wrong with a standard fuel pump?

I installed a new fuel pump, with bowl, and a flow through electric pump from 3rd Gen. It works great. The car had an electric pump on it (unknown pressure) when I bought the car in 2021. I couldn’t figure out why the car would stall going down the road, I think it was flooding out. Now it’s...

What did you do today that was flathead V8 related?

Washed the old girl this afternoon, scrubbed the whitewalls and made the sign “For Sale”. Driving it to the Country Club tomorrow for a golf event, hopefully find someone younger that wants to take care of her for the next few years. She still has the original carpets in the rear seat area!

    40 Radio and Heater Hook-up

I had my radio upgraded to am/fm/bluetooth inside the stock radio, 6 volt positive ground. It still has just one wire and it’s connected to the left side of the circuit breaker. With the ignition off, the radio works. With the ignition on, it works. Any ideas? I guess I could connect it to...
