1. What is the proper way to lower the top, back flap w/window up or down?

2. What is the correct way to reattach the back flap, lower top slightly?
3. Is there a source for a new heater motor?

1) Unzip rear window, disengage the two straps, detach the window "flap" from the upper push pins. Lower the window assembly into the top well.
Disengage the snaps at the body belt. Disengage the clamps at the front bow.
Engage the top switch.
I tend to lower it party way and tuck it within the well neatly. Repeat.
2) You should be able to raise the top completely and then reattach everything disengaged in step one (above).
3) I am not aware of a direct replacement for the blower motor. Used perhaps with a lot of searching.

I tend to lower it part way and tuck it within the well neatly. Repeat.

I like to raise it until the header is straight up. I then position the vacuum control switch at the halfway position. From here I can lower it by hand since there is no vacuum trying to raise or lower it. I lower it a bit at a time and tuck the sides in as Kube does.

I had my blower motor, 2 way, reversible, rebuilt here in Washington. The guy can rebuild anything. He rebuilt the switch too. I gave him the new harness to connect them. About $100 if I remember. Send me a message and I’ll send you his phone number.
