Looking for ideas here. Rebuilt 59a, 3 bolt Mallory crab distributor. There is a clicking from the front end and seems to be from the timing cover / dissy. I've set the lash on the Johnsons lifters and all good. Could be cam button hitting locking tabs on cam or any other suggestions...

Anyone had these rattling around?

24 stud with Mallory electronic crab distributor, clacking from front end. Set the lash on the lifters and all good. Still clack when engine revs then settles down. The distributor drive (offset) spacer seems loose at the slot connection to the distributor drive - its about 5 thou over the width...

Hello Need some advice please, 32 coupe, 284 flathead, warmed over and 3.54 final drive. Not sure to go for 36% or 26% over, anyone got experience? Thanks for any advice.

Got a Mallory crab on a 284 French block, ran fine then died, no spark at plugs. Changed the coil, all wires ok. Think it might be the distributor, do these have any internal parts that can wear out / fail? I can't find a manual for them online. Thanks for any replies.

Anyone running this combination? I've ordered one (for a 32) and hoping will keep the engine to around 2200rpm at 70, it doesn't like running at 3000rpm for 7 hours on the motor(free)way. Thanks in advance for any replies.

My T5 question has been well answered and I dont think cutting up the original K member is the way to go. Now thinking about 3.25 final drive from 3.54 at the moment, engine is warmed over 284 with Ross pistons etc. Anyone running 3.25 in a Deuce that can give an opinion? Thanks for looking...

I'm swapping the 3 speed in my 32 5 window for an S10 T5, Cornhusker adaptor seems the way to go. Anyone got any photos of the K member cutting that was needed, I want to cut as little as possible? Thanks for any advice. Neighbour Dave

Wee question from Scotland. I have rebuilt the flathead in my 32 coupe, now 284 inch, compression is 135 each cylinder so not bad. PCV valve fitted and getting a bit smoke out the exhaust under hard accelaration / 5000rpm. I think this means the PCV valve is working with a dump out the inlet...

Men Rebuilt flathead back in with new 10 inch clutch as before. New clutch fouls ****** housing as slightly different casting. I think I can spacer out between ****** and bell housing anyone done that? Thanks for helping. Dave

Men Driving me nuts, flathead rebuilt and 3 speed gearbox (******) rebuilt in 32 coupe, all back in but can't get a gear. OK in neutral but when clutch pressed won't let me select a gear (loud grinding noise, not good). Looking thru' inspection hole I can see the pressure plate moving but...

Men, Rebuilt flathead now ruining fine, rebuilt gearbox in and seems ok after moving forks and gears manually to line up. Now when clutch pressed cant get a gear as grinds, when try to start in gear with clutch pressed lunges forward. How much travel should there be? Lever moves from around...
