Greetings, Am I correct in assuming that the 1940 Fords were painted with an enamel ? Also, has anyone had experience with the clay bar mitts ? seems like all clay has some percentage of silica which doesn't sound all that great for a classic car finish. Maybe the synthetic clay mitts are ok...

What type of paint was used on the 1940 Fords ? I have a Sedan Deluxe with original paint that is in excellent condition. I'm no painter but I would guess it would be some type of automotive enamel ? Thanks for any help.
