Pictures of '36 sedan trunk (seal)??

Anyone have pictures of the trunk lid seal on a Sedan? We tried to install a new one, but are not sure if we installed correctly. Should the lip of the seal sit behind the trunk lid, or between lid and body? Although the latter doesn't make much sense I guess... Thx. Dennis Verstuurd vanaf...

    '40 center driveshaft bearing

We're at the point of installing a new center driveshaft bearing on a '40. Trying to get a tool together to install it. Is it correct though that the grease fitting should protrude into the hole in the rubber from the bearing? Something about the thread holding the bearing in place? That...

    '36 king pin installation issues

We're working on a '36, rebuilding the stock brakes, suspension, steering, etc. The king pins that came off the car were toast. We got 2 NOS kits. We're running into a few issues. - we have 2 opposite king pins, but both marked L. We saw this on 2 others as well. Seems to be wrongly stamped...

External oil filter on a '36 engine?

Anyone ever installed an external oil filter on an engine which didn't have one originally? Any ideas/tips? I thought about using the top hole next to the oil sensor, which normally holds the bolt for the battery cable. Dennis Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G781B met Tapatalk

Pete and Jakes shock kits on a stock '36?

Has anyone ever installed kit 5001 and 1070 on a stock '36 (original springs and brakes)? Summit and P&J of course, offer them, but there's no mention anywhere of different length shocks depending on ride height. P&J's customer service says the completely stock '36 would require longer shocks...

Advice needed on rebuilding '36 stock brakes

I could use some education on rebuilding the stock brake parts of our '36. There's this central brake mechanism, the clutch/brake pedal assy. and the same idea on the brake linkage at the drums. They have these bushings inside and it's all locked in by these peened pins/rivets. I can imagine...

How to test '36 voltage cutout off the car?

We're working on a 36 Sedan that hasn't driven since end of the 60s. Engine is being rebuild and I'm working in it's different components. I cleaned up the (probably original) voltage cutout that goes on top of the generator. Is there a way to test it's correct functioning while it's not...

    '36 distributor rebuild questions

I'm rebuilding a late 36 distributor, almost have it finished. I was wondering what the max gap may be between the rotor and the cap contacts. And is the washer supposed to go all the way over the pointy end of the bolt (for the plunger spring)? The pointy end is conical, it would take some...

    40 coupe with 59AB?? Lots of questions.[emoji16]

We're working on my brother's 40 standard coupe, freshly imported from Texas to The Netherlands. Has been off the roads probably since end of the 60s. I took the intake and drivers side head off today. Looks very promising as far as I can tell. No visible cracks, smooth cilinder walls. We're...
