So I changed my old worn out 94 carb to a new stromberg 97. Now I don't have enough travel in the gas pedal for wide open throttle.
The 94 ball attachment was from the botton, under the throttle plate. The 97 pulls from the top, There must be less travel? Are there different length linkage rods...
I can start it with a spray bottle of gas.
How do I get the pump to draw fuel to the sediment bowl? Keep spraying for a longer run? I've sprayed it and it ran about half a dozen times for a few seconds. No sign of anything getting to the glass bowl?
Is this normal? Rear spring is bowed towards the rear of car about 1.75". The cross member it sits in looks undamaged, the rear of the of the banjo is unmarked. The springs are a little askew towards the ends. The string you see is tied to the rear of both shackles. My car sags to the drivers...
I believe my 34 wiper motor has been changed but It works. My question is should it hold a vacuum at the motor with a hand pump?
The reason I ask is I'm chasing a rough idle with the carb adjustments after a short drive. It will stall at a stop light and not restart easily.

Maybe 60 yrs ago my father made a little hot roders modification to one of his hub caps on the 34.
I guess it was popular at the time? They still worked until I bumped it doing an oil change.
I'm in need of an old bulb socket that has snapped. To make it difficult the back side of the socket...
Has anyone used this as a replacement? Does the guage adapt an work?
Second pic is my damaged sending unit with few remaning threads on the small air line
Thanks Terry
Looking at new gas tanks on line for my stock 34 coupe. Seems to be a wide range in prices. Also my dash hydrostatic guage doesn't work but I would like to see if I can repair it once out of the tank. I've read the posts about availability of a lasting red fluid just wondering about the parts...
Would someone know if this shock is original or maybe an aftermarket? There is no filler plug.
Also,The arm is 7 inches from center of ball ot center of attaching eye, with approximately 1 inch ofset to clear mounting bolt.
So after a summer of searching for someone to set up my distributor in Southern NH I was guided to a gentleman recently retired who had the machine and the know how,Thanks Tommy C....and Dad thanks you too. Took it for a few mile test ride so far so good.
Couple questions, I would like to know...
