    34 sedan delivery bumper

Did the 33/34 sedan deliveries have the "step in" rear bumper? I know 32's had it and the 35/36's have it, but I can't find any photos showing a step in rear bumper on the 33/34. Picture of my 34 sedan delivery for comparison. It obviously does not have the step in style bumper.

    33 coupe door latch help

I was trying to lube the driver's door latch on my 33 coupe yesterday and the latch locked up. Both handles locked solid. Finally gave in and took the door apart to get the latch assembly out. The toggle from the inside handle that's under the door latch anvil (for lack of a better term) was...

    1933 Driver's door latch assembly

I'm looking for a good 1933 five window coupe driver's side door latch assembly. Early '33 with the interior door handle at the front of the door. Needs to have a good, crisp door latching lug (probably the wrong term). I have one with a worn, rounded off latching lug that won't hold the door...

    '40 coupe trunk handle lock

I have what is likely an ignorant question on operation of the '40 coupe trunk handle lock. When I purchased my car the trunk was unlocked and handle worked fine. I tried a key that came with the car and locked the handle. The key was not the correct one, so couldn't unlock the trunk...

    Clay Smith M3

Anyone happen to have specs for a Clay Smith M3 cam for a V860? I've had one for years but never run across the actual specs on it. Thanks!

    '32 front wheel bearing spacer

Thought I'd share my recent experience with wheel bearing spacers. My '32 roadster has original spindles with '40 hubs/drums. It has the requisite spacer on the spindle for the inner bearing. While at an event last fall an informal tech inspection indicated the right front wheel bearing was...

'35/36 Sedan Delivery interior photos needed

I'm looking at a '36 sedan delivery to purchase. It does not have any interior. Does anyone have photos of an original interior? I know it's mostly masonite type panels in the rear, but any photos of seats/rear area/etc would be helpful. Are tudor front bucket type seats the same? I've...

    32 - 34 gas caps

Does anyone make a gas cap that will actually seal and keep gasoline from leaking out of an original 32 - 34 tank? I'd rather have an unvented cap, but will try anything that will actually hold gas in the tank. I've tried many tricks to get them to seal including cutting a second gasket and...

Another one gone - Don Baxter

Received word today that Don Baxter of Baxter Ford in Lawrence, Ks has passed away. Don was a wealth of knowledge on our early Fords and always willing to share that knowledge. I always had a good time stopping by the store and visiting with him about early Fords and the early days...

?? on 32 rdstr windshield stanchions & frame

Been putting together my original 32 roadster after completing paint. I was fitting the windshield today and have a couple questions. The lower stanchions have a 3/8 fine thread stud to mount the upper stanchions. The threads on one of mine are badly worn (but not cross threaded or...

    Hexagon Tool Intake

Here's a nice Hexagon Tool intake manifold for the early (59AB and back) flatheads. The Hexagon Tool intake is the one that places the carbs backwards on the engine and the generator can be mounted in the stock location. No cracks, all threads look good, and the generator mounting area is nice. .

    Need a 32 roadster measurement

I'm building a 32 roadster that was disassembled in '57. The body has been moved around a lot since then without benefit of being bolted to a frame. I'm looking for the measurement between the top iron tabs to be sure the rear quarters just behind the doors are not bowed out. Another...

Stuck inner cap on helmet distributor

What's the best way to get a stuck inner cap loose on the helmet style distributor? I want to disassemble and check the vacuum brake with the distributor on the car (33 coupe), but need the cap/wires out of the way. The inner cap doesn't want to come out. I really don't want to pull and...

    Foaming/cavitating coolant in my 34

Questions for the early pump in head flathead gurus. I have a 34 roadster with a later (35 or 36) flathead. I've driven it a decent amount this summer, but have lately been frustrated with it pushing out all the coolant to the point it starts running hot. Here's some of my experiences this...

    1919 T Pickup

Here's a nice running and driving 1919 T. It was converted to a pickup way back in the day using one of the commercially available kits at the time. The engine has been completely gone through and it has Kevlar bands installed. It has a new radiator core. If you want a T to drive and enjoy, this...
