Before anybody hyperventilates, the description says the unique Deluxe parts were not modified. I like pickups and have owned a non-Deluxe. But I do think the bed looks too small in relation to the cab. Extending the cab only makes it worse but the proportions are better with the Deluxe bed...

What can you folks tell me about this truck? It's obviously early-40s Ford stake-bed. But I don't recall hood vents like that or the V/8 stamped in the sheet metal rather than an applied badge.

I've seen a few pictures of passenger and commercial 32 Fords that appear to be original and have bright (stainless? chrome?) radiator shells. Was that a Ford option? Or just aftermarket?

There currently are six Sport Coupes on eBay. Five have the landau irons incorrectly installed. Looking at others on Google, that seems to be the rule rather than the exception. WTF??!! There are several factory pix showing the correct installation. It ain't rocket surgery!

Will a late-31 wide bed and unique fenders fit a 28-29 pickup? I'm guessing it will since, AFAIK, the narrow bed was used 28 - early-31 and the rest of the truck wasn't changed when the wide bed was introduced - just not sure the fenders would line up with the running boards and splash shields...

Not mine and yes, it's modified - looks to be shortened 4-door phaeton. The main reason for posting it is because I recall seeing pix of a similar car years ago. IIRC, that one was coach-built in Germany "back in the day". I think it had roll-up windows like a cabriolet. Anybody remember it?
