'35 ford tail light wire and bulb socket....

I have a 1935 Ford. The taillight does not work. I ordered and received a new cable connecting the wiring, joined to a longer cable from the front of the car. I bought a new bulb and taillight socket with wire for a 1935 Ford coupe. Our test then showed 5.8 volts. When we put the bulb in...

35 Ford Coupe 5 window seat back upholstery

The lower seat cushion went wonderfully. The upper seat cushion springs are unattached to the wood frame. Should the springs be attached to the wood frame...and if so where do the top of the springs fit on the wood frame? These are original seat parts. The springs have small flat metal pieces...

Batting/insulation for '35 5 window coupe under headliner

Finally, I found the secrets to removing the parcel shelf and now have the old headliner out. But... Under the headliner, in places, is/was a puffy insulation like padding, 1-2: thick, no longer of a piece in places. I pulled out handfuls of it. Now I'm looking for a replacements that doesn't...

35 5 Ford window coupe headliner help

Sigh. I have fabric to replace the original headliner used by unknown animals. Holes were torn in the fabric. I've started to remove the old...all the bow bolts are loosened and removed. The fabric that is tucked behind the package shelf...in the lower corners...I cannot figure how to remove...

'35 Tailight electrical replacement...wire and connector

I'm casting about today... We, my friend and I, have concluded we need to replace the taillight socket for my 1935 Ford 5 window. While I’ve found the wired set to purchase (a couple with springs), how do we remove the old one and replace it? It seems glued in place or at least it baffles us...

100° in St. Louis this week... A local top and interior shop needs to see my '35 for an estimate. A need headliner. This week the temperature hovers between 95° and 100 degrees. The liquids are all topped up. Is it safe to try to travel 8 miles on city streets?

1935 Coupe spare tire bracket strap

Me again. After finding my spare tire cover, rusted and dimpled more than I was willing to accept, I did this. Notice the bullet hole. I won't fix that. But, now I can used my lock. Here's a picture. It seems deformed. Any opinions or picture of what it should look like? Thank you, Jim

    Seat stuck...

While I'm not restoring my '35 Ford Coupe, I try to maintain it, keeping in mind it's 86 years old. It's been garaged twice. From 1943 to 1968 and then from 1969 to 2019. Surprisingly, it runs well. Here's the next to do on my list. The seat won't move. I thought at first it wasn't designed to...

'35 Ford Coupe tail light lamp

I bought a replacement lamp through Mac's, Vintique. It has a double contact which my socket has. There are two nubs on the lamp, opposite each other. One nub is closer to the bottom than the other. I cannot get the lower nub aligned with the slot to turn and secure. Please see my photos. Thanks.

    '35 Ford Standard Trunk Seals

Drake suggested I contact both the EFV8 and FordBarn. FordBarn has always been terrific. Attached is a screen shot of the trunk seals Drake sells. But no installation info. My car is original and the lower seal (the body not the lid) is missing. But the lid seal has hardened. Any help on...

1935 Ford Cooupe Spare Tire Cover

I hope this is the right forum for wanted parts. Somewhere in the last few years, I misplaced the Cordoba Gray spare tire cover for my '35. I'd rather have an original, not restored. I do have the locking hub cap for the spare. Let me know if you have ideas? Thank you. Jim Hauschultz

    gear shift knob/ball

My '35 coupe didn't have a floor mat. That's part of a larger story. I bought a new rubber replacement and decided to add the gear shift boot/gasket. How do I get it on? I thought I'd slip it over the gear lever after removing the knob/ball. I tried to unscrew the knob/ball (well protected with...

    1935 Ford Accelerator Pedal Replacement

I also posted this in the EFV8 forum. I hope I'm not stepping on toes...but I need help. I thought I had solved this. I thought wrong. I replaced my old pedal (1935 Ford Coupe) with one that reflected a problem that could be fixed, and indeed was later during the run. The hole on...

no advice needed, but I am curious

After 51 years when I turned my Grandfather's '35 off, my wife's cousin examined it, did some repairs (new spark plugs wires, etc.) distributor cleaning and, of course, a new gas tank, and restarted it. And it had been 25 years before that when it was first turned off. When we had a celebration...

The mats generally on offer have a slash...35/36. I've been told the 36 mat does not fit the 35. Any sources that don't need modification? Thank you.
