I am looking to upgrade my original 1954 distributor . What are the possible replacements (if any) ?

My 1954 Ford Victoria (Fordomatic) is giving me fits ; it has begun to vibrate at 40 MPH and it gets worse as the speed increases . So far I have had all four wheels / tires spin balanced all to no avail . What else might be going on ; any advise would be greatly appreciated .

Due to the fact I can't locate a decent drum/hub which are attached on 54 Fords , is there an issue with separation of the two and installing the best of each from my stash?
