Guys, is this oil pan for a Big Truck or a regular 3/4 ton pick up? I am asking because I my engine builder is telling me the clearance between the oil pick up tube and the pan is about 2". He feels the rule of thumb is more like 3/4". He says he can modify the pick up tube to make it work...

Can anyone identify this fan bracket?

I was wondering if anyone could identify this fan bracket. I was told it is somewhat unique in that it would turn on only after the temp increases and not immediately. I guess the idea is to allow for a faster heat up of engine in cold weather? Thanks!

    How to prime the flatty

I just replaced my intake and I'm not getting the fuel to draw. I'm quite sure the fuel pump is on properly and the fuel line is not plugged. I blew air from the fuel line up front and there was definitely fuel in the tank. I blew air from the rear and I could not get any fuel to push thru. My...

    Intake problem!

I recently noticed the intake on my 35 was significantly cracked and a very good welder looked at it and said it too far gone to weld. So I picked up a '36 and was told it would work. A few weeks ago I picked up a nice old 35 Tudor that had been parked for about 5 years. It started when a friend for mine, who's son and mine play HS basebal together, started talking "cars" at a game. He mentioned he knew an older woman who's husband passed away 5 years earlier, and was a Ford...

Figured out why my 35 would not pump fuel

I posted a thread asking for reasons why my 35 would not pump fuel and I received a lot of good possibilities but the culprit was something I never thought of. It was the fuel pump as several suggested but the real problem was the spring loaded arm (I'm not sure what its called) that is actuated...
