I posted a thread asking for reasons why my 35 would not pump fuel and I received a lot of good possibilities but the culprit was something I never thought of. It was the fuel pump as several suggested but the real problem was the spring loaded arm (I'm not sure what its called) that is actuated by the push rod, was jamming up against the inside of the pump stand ( see pic). It's hard to see but the inside of the stand had a mark where it was wearing into the stand and locking in the up position. I ended up changing the NEW pump with a mechanical pump I had and bam...... Fuel was a flowing! A friend asked if the NEW fuel pump has flathead screws or hex on top and I said hex. He said that means it was made in Argintina and may have been the problem. In any event it works and I'm one happy camper. Thanks everyone for all the ideas. I'm sure I will be back for something else.
