I have 40' Ford brakes setup on my AV8. All the rebuilt parts are new. After I adjusted them correctly as per Ford the brakes bump the pedal pretty hard. Even shakes the entire front end. Are the drums not round? If I have them turned will that make a difference?

Im putting my flathead back to look stock on the outside. I'm over two carbs and nasty looking finned heads. Anyway I just got my stock head and intake back from the machine shop. I painted them and find them to look very rough. Do most people grind the stock cast bumps down to get them smooth...

I have a fully rebuilt 39' Ford trans in my AV8. I got the thing in gear some how (stick wasnt completely installed). Anyway Ive been messing around with it for a hour trying to get it back to neutral. Does it need to be in neutral for the stick to be properly installed? What Am I doing wrong?

May be a dumb question but will original head bolts from a 48' Ford truck the same as 49' Mercury? I found some on eBay and want to put the original heads on. Thanks David
