I have 40' Ford brakes setup on my AV8. All the rebuilt parts are new. After I adjusted them correctly as per Ford the brakes bump the pedal pretty hard. Even shakes the entire front end. Are the drums not round? If I have them turned will that make a difference?
Turn the drums, arc the shoes to the drums and chamfer the leading and trailing edges of the shoes slightly. OR, you could try just chamfering the shoes to begin with.
