Use a long nose camshaft in 59A motor?

Can an earlier long nose camshaft be used in a 59A block in a 1947 Ford? I am aware a spacer must be used for the distributor. Aside from that, does using this cam in the 59A motor create any other issues or differences? Thanks, Ford 1941

Does anyone know the correct color to paint the inside / back side of 41-48 Ford 16" wheels. The...

I am looking for a pair of rear inner fenders / wheel wells for my 1947 Ford woodie wagon project. I would be interested in new, NOS, or solid used ones. Are there any actual functional differences between a 59A and 59A-B cylinder heads? Could a 59A and a 59A-B head be used together on the same engine without creating any problems? In other words are they totally interchangeable? On a separate but related note, when would you have typically...

Could somebody possibly help me determine the correct years of application for a Ford torque tube that I have?
