Does anyone have the correct paint code or formula for a 1947 239 V8 passenger engine (Antique Ford Blue, I think). I am looking a code that will work with a Dupont Centari, PPG or similar paint.

Thanks, Scott

Scott, buy your engine paint from Bill Hirsch. It is the correct color, hi temp paint. His engine paints are the best available.

I have used Bill Hirsch engine paints. They are tough and correct colors. Just bought a spray can which will do an engine. $16 for the paint and $11 for shipping. John

You can't go wrong with Bill Hirsch paint. I bought a quart of Ford red for our '53 Convertible back in 1975 (yes, '75) and used it to touch up the Flathead we installed in our '53 F-100 Panel Truck a few months ago. Took me longer to stir the paint after sitting all those years, then to paint the Flathead...
