Here is the email I received again today, both emails were exactly the same.
Hello ******
Are you available for assistance? I'm out of the state now, I have absolute confidence in you to handle this. The Ford Model AA Truck Club needs electronic gift cards to make donations to Veterans in...
Not sure if this has been posted already but I received a couple emails from someone impersonating Neil Wilson asking for gift cards to support the Ford Model AA club. These are clearly scammers, please don't fall for this scam!
Finally pulled the cab on the old '31, rear lower is rusted through and require a patch panel and likely a seat frame riser assembly . I have a couple catalogs from MAC's / Mike's and viewed a couple options on various sites. Is there one better than another or are all of these sources from...
Started back on '31 Model AA project after dedicating time and resources to other household projects. I located a Weaver wrecker crane in really good shape and would like to turn my AA into something similar as the attached reference image. The project came with a stake bed style flat bed, but...
Just picked up what I think is a Weaver Model G - 3 ton. Currently has cable on the drum but I'm going to try and find a some chain hardware. Looks to be nearly complete with the crank handle
Thanks for the info. There are a wide range of asking prices that don't necessarily determine the value, as with anything it's only worth what someone is willing to pay. Thanks again.
I've been on the hunt for a crane, came across a few Manley setups and seeing more Weavers than anything else.
How does one determine a value for a rusty but complete crane?
Just trying to make sure I don't get screwed being naive on this subject. Thanks for the valued inputs in advance.
New to the relm of vintage projects and replacement parts costs. What should I expect to pay for a dent-free original '31 used hood with side panels in good condition? Prices are seemingly all over the place.
Thanks
I appreciate the input and agree it is not detrimental to the structure and certainly not a big deal. I think I'll try a repair and it if fails replace the entire riser with a reproduction, thanks.
