Bill,
Guns are like wrenches. You need a different one for what you are trying to do. Also some of us in the day would stay up till 3 am singing with the President of the NRA.
When I was a youngster way back when we had company stop by and one of their kids took a big swig of old #9. Didn't...
Blaster has a product called Air Tool Conditioner. You can look it up at www.BlasterCorp.com I have used it and it has done a good job for me more times than not. It can be fun watching a discarded tool come back to life stronger than it was when new.

The Louisville plant (Fern Valley) had quite a few photos posted just off what was the lobby 20 years ago. If you have a contact there they may be able to get you copies. The library there was also a source of photos that have been reproduced and don't forget to check out the historical...
I ran across American Antique Auto Parts a few months ago and I was wondering if any members has used this supplier. I know that there has been discussions on other suppliers for wood headers but I have not seen a review for this one.
Thanks in advance for any information.

Pat Williams of The AuSable Valley Region of MARC donated her husband's collection of Model A News to the Museum and I thought it was a complete set. I will check and see if I have a duplicate of any of the needed issues.

Steve,
If I remember correctly the date was stamped on the tank to track the gas tanks in the field. Ford was testing welding processes on the tanks and wanted feedback on failures.

Bob,
The best sign painter I knew of in the area passed away about 15 years ago. The day of a good sign job for a fifth of Kesslers is long gone.
If I remember correctly his first name is Bob and he owns Lautner Irrigation. He is into Model A's and has contacts with the tractor group from...
If you have a copy of "Ford Model A Standard Hardware 1928 - 1931" by Mick Isbell you have a good start on your project. It was jointly published by MARC and MAFCA.
I refer to if often and is a great addition to any library.

A good friend of mine who was contacted by Hagerty a couple of years ago while they were doing a customer satisfaction survey. He inquired about hauling a mule in the back of his military truck with a jeep on a trailer in tow while on his way to shows or events. A few days later he was called...
I have an eleventh edition Motor's Auto Repair manual printed in 1949. It covers 1935 thru 1948. If they have been around since 1903 they must not have published it evey year.

There was an excellent artical in the November/December 2006 issue of "Model A News". It had a good breakdown of the restoration and part suppliers for the hood latches. I crossed referenced the specifications of the parts and found some of them available locally. They used a dowel pin but I...
I am very impressed with the "Chassis Saver" from Magnet Paints. The frame horns on my Western Ultra Mount were rusted. I cleaned them up and applied the Chassis Saver and one coat of rattle can paint. I ran them all winter in Northern Michigan for an intense salt spray test. They are in...
